Faultner Ranch · Florence, Arizona
The birth of Faultner Ranch.
A family, a herd, and seventeen years of doing things the way they’ve always been done — with care, patience, and a little dirt under the fingernails.
Our Story
One cow, one family, seventeen years.
Buying beef this way is different than the grocery store — and once you see it laid out, it’s simple.
2009
WHERE IT STARTED
One cow, one simple goal
Faultner Ranch began in 2009 when Adam and Lina Faultner purchased their very first cow with a simple goal: to provide their children with premium-quality, home-raised beef.
Committed to raising their family on healthy, wholesome food, they also saw ranching as an opportunity to teach their children the values of hard work, responsibility, and stewardship. Caring for livestock became more than a way to put food on the table — it became a way of life, and a lesson in giving back to the land and animals that provide for a family.
Growing
The Herd Expands
From hobby farm to ranch
What started as a small hobby farm soon grew into Faultner Ranch. As the herd expanded, the family began raising high-quality beef for relatives and friends, while remaining dedicated to the same values that inspired them from the beginning.
Today
17 years later
The next generation takes the reins
Seventeen years later, the next generation is carrying that legacy forward. The family’s youngest son, Coby Faultner, has taken the reins of the ranch with a vision of expanding it into a thriving family business.
His goal is to provide premium-quality beef and healthy calves to customers, while preserving the values and traditions on which Faultner Ranch was built.
What We Stand for
Built on the same values, since day one.
Family
Two generations in, this is still a family operation — the same hands, the same land, the same reasons for doing it.
Stewardship
Caring for the herd and the land it depends on isn’t a chore — it’s the whole point.
Hard Work
Every generation has learned the same lesson early: responsibility looks like showing up, every day, for something that depends on you.
“Caring for livestock became more than a way to put food on the table — it became a way of life.”

Carrying it Forward
Coby’s vision for the ranch’s future.
Today, Coby Faultner is building on what his parents started — growing the herd, expanding into premium beef and healthy calves for customers, and doing it all without losing sight of why the ranch exists in the first place.
It’s still a family business. It’s just getting bigger.

The breed we raise
Miniature Belted Galloways.
Miniature Belted Galloways stand around 42 inches or less at the shoulder — a fraction of a standard beef breed, while keeping all the hardiness and character of their full-sized cousins.
After working with larger cattle breeds, our family discovered that Miniature Galloways were a better fit for our ranch. Their gentle, docile nature and smaller size allow them to thrive on less pasture than full-sized cattle, making them well suited for our small-acreage operation.
Miniature Belted Galloways are hardy, adaptable cattle known for strong maternal instincts and easy calving. Their ability to adapt to different climates, combined with their natural hardiness and quality beef production, gives us even more reason to appreciate the breed here in Arizona.
Height – 42″ or less at the shoulder
Temperament – Calm, easy to handle
Coat & color – White “belt” over black, red, or dun
Calving – Easy, typically unassisted
Meat – Naturally lean
Feed – #1 alfalfa hay (lab-tested by Chandler Analytical Laboratories) + Producer’s Pride All-Stock 12% daily from birth
